WAX DEY

Wax Dey is a Cameroonian singer, and producer. He was awarded Top 35 African under the age of 35 by Young People in International Affairs (YPIA) in 2014. He was nominated for Best R&B, Best Male and Best international collaboration at the 2012 Cameroon Entertainment Awards

In December 2014, he won Best African Collaboration at the All Africa Music Awards for the massive African collaboration, ‘Cocoa na Chocolate’, on which he sang with D’banj and Fally Ipupa among others. Wax Dey became the first Cameroonian to appear and perform on Big Brother Africa in 2014, when he joined the finalists for a dinner performance the day before the final. In 2013, Wax Dey established his own prime-time reality TV show in Cameroon – Number One Girl. The song Makossa is the soundtrackof Season 2 of the show, and – and its video stars Nigerian popstar, D’banj His new album called ABAKWA FUNK will be released on July 2015, and features collaborations with Realm Squad (Cameroon), Banky W, Runtown, Kayswitch and Omawumi (Nigeria) as well as Cassper Nyovest (South Africa)
